Sul Ross State University has received a $500,000 donation from the Hardeman Family Foundation to expand its Presidential Plus Scholarship, which fully covers tuition, fees, housing, and meals for selected high school seniors from 18 West Texas school districts. Given in memory of the Prude family of Jeff Davis County, the gift honors their legacy of youth development and strengthens access to higher education across the region. University leaders say the funding will help reduce financial barriers and encourage more local students to attend college close to home.
