The highly anticipated exhibit, Five Centuries of Mexican Maps, is now open at Museum of the Big Bend, and benefactor Marty Davis says it’s a big deal.
Over the years, Davis and his wife Yana have donated more than 2,000 maps to the Museum’s collection, 64 of which will be included in the new show. The maps in the Mexican collection date from 1493-1934, several are one of a kind, and some have not been seen before in public.
The exhibit will run through Dec. 15.
