A new self-guided heritage route, the Trost Trail, invites travelers to explore some of Far West Texas’ most iconic historic buildings. Featuring landmarks in Marathon, Alpine, Marfa, Van Horn, and El Paso, the trail highlights the enduring legacy of architect Henry C. Trost, whose designs helped shape the region’s identity more than a century ago.
