Evan Means, a junior at Texas Tech, won the Non-Pro Division 1 National championship, and helped Texas Tech bring home the national championship for Division 1 in the collegiate ranch horse competition. Ranch horse competition is one of the fastest growing segments of the equine industry. The competition was held in Amarillo on April 19- 20. Means is a 2019 Valentine High School graduate majoring in marketing at Texas Tech.
