Every summer, Viva Big Bend music festival brings over 50 bands for a weekend not only to Alpine, but to the surrounding towns: Marfa, Marathon and Fort Davis. The Viva Big Bend Line up so far is Bake Turner, Bidi Bidi Banda, Butch Hancock, Blan Scott, Carlos Maxwell, Chrissy Gurrola, Chubby Knuckle Choir, Cold Jackets, Doodlin’ Hogwallops, Donavan Keith, Doug Moreland, Dusty Low, Erika Wennerstrom, Fort Defiance, Gina Chavez, Henri Herbert, Grady Spencer & The Work, Hot Texas Swing Band, Jordan Matthew Young, Kody West, Los Pinche Gringos, Patricia Vonne, Paul Minor, Primo Carrasco & David Beebe, Radio La Chusma, Rainstorm Brother, Rosie & The Ramblers, Silo Road, Sour Bridges, Sydney Wright, Tessy Lou & The Shotgun Stars, The Taylor Young Band, The Iveys, The Joe Jacksons, The Swifts, Tomar & the FC’s, Western Youth and more to be announced.
Venues will be at the Reata Restaurant, Audrey & Tyrone Kelly Outdoor Theater, Bar Nadar, Eve’s Garden, Spicewood Restaurant at Quarter Circle 7, Gage Hotel, Holland Hotel, Lost Horse, Planet Marfa, Railroad Blues, Ritchey Wine Saloon and Beer Garden, Starlight Theatre and USO Hall in Marfa.
