Fort Davis will celebrate Independence Day with its annual “Coolest 4th of July” event on July 3–4, 2026, marking the nation’s 250th anniversary

Hosted by the Fort Davis Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center, the family-friendly weekend in the Davis Mountains will feature live music, local vendors, games, a 5K run, a community parade, a barn dance, and a fireworks show—highlighting the town’s cooler summer temperatures and scenic setting.
