Facelift underway for Lackey-Hord building

By May 27, 2021No Comments

The Lackey-Hord building in Alpine is getting a facelift, and in the process, crews have uncovered the structure’s original façade and cast iron columns.  Constructed in 1911, the building once housed the Palace Drug Store and several other retail enterprises, along with doctor and lawyer offices on the second floor.  In the downstairs portion, Catchlight Gallery will remain, and of the corner space, Bow said, “We’re not sure yet what will be there, but it will still be commercial.”
