The Brewster County Commissioners Court held its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, April 24. The new emergency management coordinator for Brewster County, James Etchison, was welcomed aboard by the court. Etchison is replacing the previous coordinator, Stephanie Elmore, and started the job on Monday. Etchison served in the military for 10 years and was a private contractor for the Department of State before moving to Alpine to work with the USDA and eventually the fire department.
