Davis Mountains State Park announces slate of guided hikes and programs for early January

Events for the first half of January at Davis Mountains State Park will kick off with a “First Day Hike” on Jan. 1, starting at CCC Rock Lookout on Skyline Drive. This is a 2.5 mile hike on a rocky trail that will last from 9:30am to noon and there is a paved option available. Other Activities announced for January include, guided tours of Indian Lodge, evening hikes during the full “wolf” moon, stargazing programs, hiking with homeless dogs,  ranger-led morning hikes and art activities for all ages. Please note certain programs require advance registration or have attendance limits.
