Alpine ISD teacher receives Most Outstanding Science Teacher award

An Alpine ISD teacher was honored with a prestigious science award! Tracy Hyatt, a seventh-grade science and math teacher at Alpine Middle School, has been named one of nine recipients of the 2024–2025 Most Outstanding Science Teacher (MOST) Award by the West Texas Geology Foundation. Hyatt received a plaque and $5,000 during a ceremony at Alpine Middle School. The award celebrates educators who inspire students through hands-on, inquiry-based learning. Hyatt is recognized for creating engaging, real-world science experiences, fostering an inclusive classroom environment, mentoring new teachers, and contributing to STEM curriculum development. Alpine ISD Superintendent Dr. Michelle Rinehart praised Hyatt as β€œan incredible advocate for the sciences and for our kids.”
