Representative Will Hurd, spoke to a group of about 50 citizens in attendance at the Alpine stop in his “DQ 22” tour of his district which covers a large portion of West Texas. Hurd visited 22 Dairy Queens and one coffee shop in the district, trying to reach as many voters as possible in the highly contested race in which the incumbent freshman congressman is competing against West Texas and Alpine native Pete Gallego, who Hurd defeated in 2014.
